MICROBIOLOGY APPLICATIONS
Microbiology as a branch in biological science has its glorious bearings on fundamental and applied research. This branch of science with its phenomenal advancements is gaining new vigour in this millennium and also aiming for future perspectives in life systems and their applications. Further, in this modern era of biotechnology, microorganisms as a whole play an important role in Agriculture, Medicine and Pharmaceuticals, Environment, different Industries and in Research and Developmental activities. They play a major role in environmental cleaning as well as production of renewable energy as biofuels. The applications are enormous and studies on microorganisms at academic, industrial and basic and applied research levels are world wide. Keeping in view all these aspects of MICROBIOLOGY, we are trying to bring out an edited volume entitled “ MICROBIOLOGY APPLICATIONS” under the banner of Har Krishna Bhalla and Sons , India, through Dr. C. C. Rath, Department of Botany, north Orisas University , Baripada, Orissa as the editor. We envisage including all aspects, theoretical or applied, microbiology, particularly bioactivity of natural products (especially of essential oils), general microbiology, agricultural microbiology, medical microbiology, food microbiology, industrial microbiology, extremophiles (thermophiles). This Book will carter the needs of the academicians as well as the researchers in the field of microbiology to exchange ideas or to discuss the recent International and National achievements in the field of cross disciplinary microbiology.
